THE LATEST QUEST BUZZ...

The Quest was honored to be chosen as a part of this January 2012's SYRCL Wild and Scenic Film Festival in our hometown of Nevada City, CA!  We premiered "Part One" of the Quest to a full house!  A local showing of the film in it's entirety will be on Saturday, February 25th at Nevada City's Magic Theatre. 

Many thanks to our local public radio station KVMR for supporting the festival, our film, and the bees.  We enjoyed our time on the radio on the Women's Show and Steve Baker's morning show. 

The Quest moderated SYRCL's Wild and Scenic Film Festival's Activist forum on honey bees, "Messengers From the Hive" on Sunday, January 16th, 2011. Featured were local beekeepers Randy Oliver, Gary McGlaughry & Janet Brisson and from out West: Serge LaBesque & Kathy Kellison of PFSP & the Bee Friendly Farming initiative.  It was a lively, engaged time!

Our Film

Is obviously for and with the honey bees.  We think it's everyone's bzzness to pay attention to what's happening in the honey these days.  The bees are whispering quite loudly and we are on a quest to pay attention, document our efforts & share them with the world.  

We continue to reach out to many of you in the Bee World, to keep us updated on bee-issues and to bee a part of our ongoing documenting.  Click here to share your bee story. 

Our Quest is one of finding how humans are working hand in wing with the bees to create locally focused circles of economics, sustainable food production while keeping the health of the hive alive! 

We are looking at honey bee lore, pollination projects, inspired beekeepers of all kinds, local honey's effect on humans, the bee-human relationship & of course, Bee-Positive efforts celebrating the Bee all over the United States.  

Where are we heading next...

We are at the end of making our Quest film, but continuing our filming adventure. We will begin our Quest NCTV television/web showing in the spring of 2012.
